Sagar is a student of Indian classical music in the Dhrupad tradition under the tutelage of Pandit Uday Bhawalkar in the ‘Guru Shishya Parampara’ since 1998.
While continuing to learn from his Guru, he also teaches as a scholar of the ITC Sangeet Research Academy in Kolkata since July 2012. He has given numerous public performances at various venues across India as well as virtually to great acclaim.
